The algorithms

Each one runs dozens of versions of itself and trades only the one that's working. Seven years of NQ and ES futures, one contract, slippage and commission on every fill. How we test.

Hypothetical performance (CFTC Rule 4.41). Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.

Long-term equity portfolios

CPTL Blue Chip and CPTL Growth

For your long-term accounts, not for trading: the equity portfolios we hold for years at a time, included with membership. Blue Chip is built on the largest US companies, Growth on the leading technology companies. Each comes in three versions, from Steady to Aggressive.

The CPTL Blue Chip two-year promise

Down after two years? Your membership back.

If CPTL Blue Chip's return from the day you join is negative after two years, we refund the membership you paid for those two years. In the backtest since 2008, that would have happened in 1 of 192 possible two-year stretches for the Balanced version.

Applies to CPTL Blue Chip (all three versions), measured on the published return of the version you follow. Your brokerage account must be connected to the CPTL Terminal and each rebalance approved within 5 trading days. Request it within 60 days after your two-year date. This refunds membership fees only; it doesn't cover investment losses and isn't a promise of any return. Doesn't apply to CPTL Growth or the futures algorithms.

Hypothetical results. CPTL Blue Chip and CPTL Growth results are backtested on historical daily prices, not actual trading, and are shown for growth of $100,000 with no taxes or advisory fees. The survivability tests use simulated prices for years before every holding existed. Comparison funds use their published total returns over the same months; the average hedge fund is the HFRI Fund Weighted Composite, net of fees, with recent months estimated from HFR's published yearly totals. Past and simulated results do not guarantee future returns. The portfolios are general information, the same for every member, and not advice about your situation. CPTL Technologies LLC is not a registered investment adviser. Stocks and exchange-traded funds can lose value, including substantially.
